01The challenge

Rockcastle County is an extremely rural Kentucky county with high economic need. The district wanted to modernize instruction and connect students with mental-health professionals across the district and beyond.

02The solution

InCare and the district planned the project together through the USDA Rural Utilities Service DLT program. The equipment went into Rockcastle County High School, Rockcastle Area Technology Center, libraries, and partner sites including Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Somerset Mental Health.

03The result

Equipment installed during the week was in use for professional development that Friday, ahead of the new school year.

“Wow! What can we say… install in less than a week, with technology in use for PD on Friday!”
Jenny Sweet, Administrator, Rockcastle County Schools
