Those apps are built for one phone and one quick exchange. Vurbo.ai puts shared, on-screen captions in front of the whole class, recognizes multiple speakers, keeps a transcript the student can review afterward in their own language, and is deployed and supported like the rest of a district's IT equipment, with a published compliance statement for data privacy officers to review.
That works fine for a quick one-on-one exchange, such as a conversation at pickup. It doesn't give the rest of the class visible captions, isn't centrally deployed or supported by IT, and leaves no transcript to document the support an EL student received.
