Taylor County, Georgia, Schools Complete Distance Learning Project

Taylor County, Georgia classroom with an interactive panel in daily use

InCare recently completed a large distance learning project in Taylor County, Georgia.

The school district was the recipient of a 2019 Grant through the USDA’s Rural Utility Services’ (RUS) Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant (DLT) program. With over 20 years in RUS grant project building and implementation, InCare was well-equipped as the chosen provider to see this project to fruition.

The project included classroom upgrades for 20 classrooms including 75” Viewsonic interactive panels and Poly x30 All-in-one Video & Sound Bar equipped with Zoom Room integrated room systems.

Distance Learning systems are already being utilized in classrooms at Taylor County Middle School.

These upgrades will make it possible for these classrooms to connect to one another, to dual enrollment courses, and to virtual field trips around the world. Truly, there are no limits to the possibilities for connection to instructional resources with this equipment.

Teachers are already excitedly using the equipment in the classroom in amazing innovative ways.

As a rural district with high economic need, Taylor County was eligible for this unique grant designed to bring resources into rural areas. InCare’s grant specialist partners have years of experience working with districts to determine eligibility and provide support throughout the grant development process to submission.

If you’d like to learn more about the equipment available and your district’s eligibility for this grant and others, please reach out via phone (334-819-1035) or email (khoward@incarek12.com) and let us share what’s possible with you!

InCare Distance Learning Consultant Kristy Howard enjoyed visiting the Strawberry Festival in Taylor County, GA during the installation.
